What we collect
When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, and profile photo. When you upload photos to a group, we store the photos and metadata such as upload time and, if present, the date the photo was taken.
Face grouping
Photos uploaded to a group are automatically analyzed to detect faces and group visually similar faces together, so members of that group can browse photos by person. Face groups are anonymous: we never ask for, store, or attach names or identities to them. Face detection is performed by Amazon Rekognition; the mathematical face descriptors are stored in our database and in the Rekognition collection for your group.
Who can see your photos
Only members of the group a photo was uploaded to can see it. There are no public profiles, feeds, or search. Group membership is by invite link only.
Deletion
Deleting a photo permanently deletes it along with all face data derived from it. Deleting a group deletes all of its photos and face data. Deleting your account removes your profile and your uploads. Deletion cascades to our face-recognition provider as well.
What we never do
We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, train models on it, or match faces against anything outside your own group.
